Sledge Christmas Decor: Case Study

In order to promote a range of Christmas products in the run up to the festive season, Plant Designs were enlisted by event organisers Sledge, to design and install Christmas décor throughout a stunning venue for a one-day press event showcasing a variety of products.

As guests journeyed throughout the venue, the aim was for each space to have a different feel and showcase different products. To achieve this, a brief was given for each of the spaces, with rooms having titles such as ‘Glitz and sparkle’, ‘Party poppers’ and ‘Show stoppers’.

When designing the scheme for this project, our top priority was transforming the venue into a festive haven that would bring the guests as much Christmas joy as possible! It was important that the décor was exciting and visually pleasing, whilst remaining elegant and allowing the spotlight to focus on the products being launched.

To meet the differing briefs for each room we used varying schemes throughout the event space, from traditional Christmas trees and garlands through to bespoke moss walls and decorated chandeliers, we covered every base. Key focal points included a giant present stack, carefully built up towards the ceiling to mimic the shape of a Christmas tree, as well as the fireplace decorated with a bespoke bauble cladding, made up of hundreds of colourful and glittering baubles.

In order to tackle the large-scale event dressing on a tight timescale, a large team of our Christmas elves were prepped and ready to ensure a smooth running of the installation. Where possible, décor and materials were assembled and prepared in our warehouse ahead of transportation and the team were split up into different areas of the venue to further improve efficiency.

Plant Designs had the pleasure of working alongside event agency Sledge to bring this project to life and liaise with the end client. The event was a huge success and created a brilliant and much needed festive experience for all those who attended.
