Revolutionary Urban Green Spaces with EILO
EILO (European interior landscaping organisation) is a cooperation of interior landscapers who connect professionals in order to share and promote knowledge, expertise, and inspiration within the interior landscaping world.
Some of the Plant Designs team were lucky enough to join EILO on their latest annual excursion to Brussels, taking part in a conference featuring some great talks surrounding the subject of plants and biophilia, followed by a day of site visits to a range of inspiring plant projects.

Peas and Love
A fascinating and calming place to be, this urban agriculture project helps to connect people within the neighbourhood. This green roof makes an ideal spot for people to grow their own fresh vegetables on a subscription.

We are well aware that not all building environments make them a suitable place for live planting schemes, which is why it was so great to visit the Diamond building and see just how effective replica greenery can be.

Indigo Hotel Urban Jungle
Understanding and developing different styles of planting is something that we’re always aiming to do, so seeing a great example of how indoor planting can give interior design a warm jungle feel was an inspiring portion of the day.

Gare Maritime
One of our highlights of the trip; this old freight station that has been transformed into a large-scale events space, finished with lots of natural elements such as timber and huge plants, giving it a fresh outdoor feel.

Deloitte Indoor Garden
The Deloitte Indoor Garden was a great example of how planting can be integrated alongside industrial style architecture to create a modern yet comfortable space.
