Scratching your head over something?
We provide planting and maintenance for office spaces and events all over London, helping to make the city a greener place to live and work. This covers everything from potted desk plants through to enormous living walls – we design, install, and then care for our clients’ displays, ensuring they stay green and healthy.
We’re glad you asked! ‘Biophilia’ is a term coined by American biologist Edward O. Wilson, literally meaning ‘love of life’. He used it to describe the innate connection humans feel with nature, including plants. So ‘biophilic design’ is focused on this principle – that man-made structures are made inherently more powerful when they incorporate nature into their design.
We want to make sure your plants look their best, so we offer them on a rental basis rather than outright purchase. That means no initial purchase for you and that our trained horticulturists can come in and maintain your plants, replacing them if needed to ensure they remain looking their very best.
If you’re interested in joining our team, you can take a look at our job opportunities page to see which roles we’re currently hiring for.
At Plant Designs, sustainability is a really important part of our business. You can read more about the steps we’re taking to make our business more environmentally friendly here.
We have worked with ethical growers in Holland for many years now, and continue to source the majority of our plants from them. If you’re interested in reading more about this, you can take a look at our suppliers page.
We primarily deal with plant rental, however if you’re interested in buying we do have several options.
If you’re a design and build company looking for outright plant purchase, please send us an enquiry outlining the nature of the project you’re working on. Our design team will then be in touch to discuss how we can work together.
If you’re an office or other commercial space looking to purchase plants, we strongly recommend you consider a rental and maintenance service. Taking care of plants is specialist work, and your office will look it’s best when you have well cared for plants.
Our prices for plant rental and ongoing expert maintenance start at £250pcm.
For logistical reasons, our service area centres in the City of London and a limited number of other boroughs. We don’t provide services outside of London other than for events, however, we’re always more than happy to point you in the right direction of local companies who can help. Just get in touch for more information.
We no longer sell fresh flowers, however, we do have Bloom – our stunning range of flowering plants. Designed to make an impact, these beautiful arrangements bring colour and living displays to your space. They are also a much more cost effective option than regular cut flower deliveries.
We don’t sell plants to individuals but if you are a company looking to buy your displays, we can help. We also offer our rental and maintenance service to save on upfront costs and keep your plants looking in tip top shape.
Yes! If you have plants that need maintenance we can come and meet with you to discuss your needs and start, or take over the maintenance of your displays. Please get in touch to discuss your space and one of our team will be in touch to discuss your needs.
Please send any PR or marketing enquiries to our Marketing Team. Please email helen@plantdesigns.co.uk.
Yes! We love sharing our passion for plants with clients, and plant workshops make the perfect group experience for teams of any size. We currently offer workshops in our plant-filled Exmouth Market workshop, at your premises, or remotely. Just send us an enquiry outlining your needs, and one of the team will get in touch to discuss further.
Absolutely! We love sharing our plant expertise with other plant fans.
We regularly host presentations on biophilia and the benefits of plants, as well as interactive planting workshops. These can be held on your premises, in our beautiful Exmouth Market workshop, or remotely. We can also offer walk-around tours of your office space with one of our horticultural experts, who can explain to your staff all about the individual species you have in your space. Just get in touch with your client manager to arrange.
We only offer workshops for group bookings to our clients and other companies. If you’d like to find out more about group bookings for team days or office parties, you can see more here.
