Clerkenwell Design Week 2023 – Innovative design and workplace greenery
We were lucky enough to be based in the beautiful Old Sessions House where we were showcasing our new range of preserved planting – 100% natural plants that have been through a preservation process, allowing them to retain their fresh green look without the need for any traditional plant maintenance. This makes them the perfect eco-friendly alternative to faux plants and allows greenery to be integrated into any interior space, no matter the environment.

We had a great time chatting all things preserved greenery and seeing the interest and excitement in the possibilities the range can bring to interior design schemes. From our interactive lightbox exploring the shapes and textures of foliage through to our displays of trailing planters that are perfect for high-level greenery designs, and of course our super popular plant sample station providing that much needed greenery to your sample libraries, it was our pleasure introducing visitors to the power of preserved.

Found in the heart of Clerkenwell the ‘Promenade’ installation by Universal Fibers created a colourful walkway that highlighted their journey to carbon negative fibre.

PLP labs showcased their mycelium modular blocks that create a future for 100% natural and bio-degradable building materials. And if you’re wondering what mycelium is – it is a root-like structure of a fungus that can be found in soil and many other substrates!

Found in the Light exhibition space of the festival, hand-blown glass studio Curiousa were showcasing their Wave collection. We loved this unique and playful design and will be wishing we had it in our office for the foreseeable future!

Insidesource London relaunched their newly designed showroom space during CDW this year and teamed up with LSA International to show off some beautiful glass planters and greenery. And if you were wondering where they got their lovely greenery, that would be from our Clerkenwell based houseplant shop! Everyone loves a pop of colour, especially with the good old British weather, so seeing the ‘A Magical World’ installation by artist Yinka Ilori and Domus tiles really brightened our day.

Last but definitely not least, these light up planters from BiooLux were right up our street. Using the plants ability to pick up on frequency changes, these planters allow the plant to become the light switch just by touching it!
