An impressive example of office planting in London is the transformation of a busy financial headquarters in Canary Wharf. This leading financial group, located in the bustling financial district, houses their headquarters in a state-of-the-art building with an outstanding BREEAM rating (a method of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of buildings), making it one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in the area.
We introduced a biophilic design scheme to this office, incorporating approximately 10,000 live plants. The success of this project demonstrates the power of office planting in enhancing the work environment and promoting employee well-being.
The transformation was not just about adding greenery to the office space. It was a strategic move to improve the overall work environment. The introduction of plants served multiple purposes. It improved the aesthetics of the office, making it more appealing and inviting. It also improved the air quality, as plants are known to absorb pollutants and release oxygen. But perhaps most importantly, it created a calming and soothing environment that helped reduce stress and increase productivity amongst employees.
The project was a huge success and served as a model for other businesses in London and beyond. It showcased how office planting can revolutionise the workspace and contribute to a healthier, happier and more productive work environment.
